Abstract: Teachers want to encourage their students to read, but it is not always easy. This session will help teachers create a reading environment in their classroom, as well as their school. It provides activities to empower students in their learning through the use of readers, from getting them started to keeping their motivation throughout the school year. Based on the most recent methodology, the session provides the pedagogical basis for using readers as an integral part of a student’s learning experience.
