Copio/pego las consignas enviadas por la prof. Nuria Araujo, para los alumnos que cursan Lengua y Cultura I en turno mañana (1°A)

• “ The village by the sea”
• 1)      Analyze the characters in the novel (protagonist?, antagonist or antagonistic force?, foil?, confidant?)
• 2)      Describe macro and microsetting, and time setting. How would you describe the atmosphere?
• 3)      Find examples of simile and metaphor. What’s the difference between them? Look for imagery in the story.
• 4)      What’s the tone in the story?
• 5)      Explain the following themes and find examples in the novel: poverty and richness.
• 6)      Find symbolism within the story (at least one example) and explain.

• ·        As you probably know, the Scottish referendum was last week and they decided to go on being part of the United Kingdom. Your task is to choose one position-as a Scotsperson- ( yes or no) and defend why or why not it is something good to belong to the UK.

• 1)     What is N.A.T.O?
• 2)     Country members nowadays and their position ( who’s who?).
• 3)     Revise the history of the N.A.T.O and write a summary.
